Position: Kitchen Assistant
Hours: 15 hours a week, 11am – 2 pm Monday to Friday, term time only

What are we looking for
We are currently looking for a Kitchen Assistant to work in our nursery kitchen.
You will be working 15 hours a week, 11am – 2pm Monday to Friday, term-time only.
Your rate of pay will be from £12.21 an hour.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Preparation of food to include cooking meals and preparing fruit, vegetables and desserts as directed by the Nursery Manager.
- Unloading deliveries and suppliers and organizing the storeroom as directed.
- Collecting, cleaning and storing the crockery, pots, pans and cutlery using the nursery dishwasher.
- Daily cleaning of kitchen surfaces including the cooker and microwave, sweeping and mopping floor.
- Undertaking such other duties and responsibilities as determined from time to time by the Nursery Manager

We’re looking for a person who is self-motivated, passionate and a team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
In addition you should hold or willing to complete suitable qualifications in Food Hygiene and preparation.
