Hours: 30 hours a week, 9.30am-3.30pm Monday to Friday

What are we looking for

We are currently looking for a Kitchen Assistant to work in our nursery kitchen.

You will be working 30 hours a week, 9.30am-3.30pm Monday to Friday.

Your rate of pay will be £11.44 an hour.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Preparation of food to include cooking meals and preparing fruit, vegetables and desserts as directed by the Nursery Manager.
• Unloading deliveries and suppliers and organizing the storeroom as directed.
• Collecting, cleaning and storing the crockery, pots, pans and cutlery using the nursery dishwasher.
• Daily cleaning of kitchen surfaces including the cooker and microwave, sweeping and mopping floor.
• Undertaking such other duties and responsibilities as determined from time to time by the Nursery Manager

We’re looking for a person who is self-motivated, passionate and a team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.

In addition you should hold or willing to complete suitable qualifications in Food Hygiene and preparation.
