Quality Childcare at Affordable Prices in March
Clarence House March is a homely nursery with a community feel in March.
Located in Station Rd in a beautifully converted 19th Century house with large gardens our homely nursery is perfectly positioned for the local housing estates and surrounding neighbourhoods. Though many of our parents choose us for our lovely warm, community feel we do attract a number of commuting parents – largely down to our close proximity to the station and the centre of town.
Our expert and dedicated team cares for children aged 12 weeks up to the age of 5, in rooms specifically designed to provide tailored, age and stage-appropriate activities and experiences.

Homely and Friendly Environment
The team at Clarence House March prides itself on delivering a friendly and homely environment for our babies, toddlers and preschool children – helping children to settle quickly and parents to relax.
Here at Clarence House March we are particularly proud of our lovely garden with its soft tarmac and all weather play areas filled with educational activities as well as fun things like our climbing frame and large sand pit. We also have a vegetable patch where the children can grow their own vegetables, a mud kitchen – always a favourite with all the children and a ‘bug hotel’ where all the local insects check in.
Additional Activities
We also include as standard Superstar Sports, Little Bakers, Gardener Green Fingers, Sensory Science and School Readiness.
Local Schools
Our preschool children tend to move on to nearby schools including Cavalry Primary School, All Saints Primary School, Burrow Moor Primary School and Westwood Primary School.
Fees, Funding & Government Support
We offer funded early education places in line with current government guidance, including 15 and 30 hours funding for eligible families.
Funded hours are applied to session fees only. We do not charge any additional fees or compulsory extras on funded sessions.
All meals and snacks are included as part of the session, meaning there are no additional charges for food.

Manager: Michelle Smith
Michelle joined Clarence House in March 2025 as a Manager after nearly 20 years in childcare and education. Michelle started working in a nursery as a volunteer in 2006, before completing Level 2 and 3 qualifications in Early Years. After gaining experience leading baby, toddler and preschool rooms in both school and independent nurseries and progressing to both senior practitioner and managerial roles Michelle wanted to gain a deeper understanding of the theoretical perspectives relating to child development. She undertook a 4-year degree and graduated with a BA Hons in Early Childhood from Anglia Ruskin University in 2022. Michelle is passionate about promoting a natural, authentic and child-centred approach.
Before entering childcare, Michelle worked in the fashion industry and she now enjoys creative activities like drawing, crafts, reading and walking her dog on the beach.
