Clarence House Day Nursery Northampton is located opposite the Racecourse on St George’s Avenue in a beautiful 4 story town house.
Our nursery is in a close proximity to the town centre and the train station for commuting parents and local housing estate’s and surrounding neighbourhoods.
We are a dedicated team that offer children an enriched learning environment full of awe and wonder.
We care for children from 12 weeks up to the age of 5 offering age-appropriate activities and learning experiences following the children’s own interests.
We have strong parent partnership’s and always have an open door policy.

Homely and Friendly Environment
The team at Clarence house Northampton are very proud of our nursery, delivering a warm, friendly and homely learning environment for babies, toddlers and preschool children.
The child is at the heart of everything we do, and our child-centred approach to learning gives children the chance to play, explore and learn at their own pace, developing new skills and making learning fun.
Additional Activities
We also include as standard Superstar Sports, Little Bakers, Gardener Green Fingers, Sensory Science and School Readiness.
Outside space
We have a large garden where children can explore all weather activities. We also have a mud kitchen and an area where children can grow their own vegetables.
Local Schools
The preschool children go on to attend Kingsthorpe Grove Primary School, Malcolm Arnold Preparatory School, and Kingsley Primary.
Fees, Funding & Government Support
We offer funded early education places in line with current government guidance, including 15 and 30 hours funding for eligible families.
Funded hours are applied to session fees only. We do not charge any additional fees or compulsory extras on funded sessions.
All meals and snacks are included as part of the session, meaning there are no additional charges for food.

Manager: Sophie Baker
Sophie has been working in childcare since 2011. She joined Clarence House Wellingborough in June 2019 as a nursery practitioner, but quickly progressed to room leader, before moving to deputy and then nursery manager. Sophie became manager in Northampton nursery in February 2023. She has a Foundation Degree in Early Years and is a designated SENCO, DSL and a first aider.
Outside of nursery, she enjoys spending as much time as she can with her two children, family and friends.
