Clarence House Ely is a homely nursery with a community feel in Ely.
Located in High Barns our nursery is perfectly positioned for the local housing estates and surrounding neighbourhoods yet is only a short distance from the town centre as well as in close proximity to Ely train station and A10 leading to Cambridge and London.
Our expert and dedicated team cares for children aged 12 weeks up to the age of 5, in rooms specifically designed to provide tailored, age and stage-appropriate activities and experiences.

Homely and Friendly Environment
The team at Clarence House Ely prides itself on delivering a friendly and homely environment for our babies, toddlers and preschool children – helping children to settle quickly and parents to relax.
Here at Clarence House Ely we are particularly proud of our large garden filled with educational activities as well as fun things like our climbing frame and large sand pit. We also have a vegetable patch where the children can grow their own vegetables, a mud kitchen – always a favourite with all the children and a ‘bug hotel’ where all the local insects check in. In addition, our nursery benefits from an indoor climbing apparatus and slide, helping children to build on and extend their physical skills. Children under 2 can play in a dedicated garden area with sensory play equipment and library shed.
Additional Activities
We also include as standard Superstar Sports, Little Bakers, Gardener Green Fingers, Sensory Science and School Readiness.
Local Schools
Our preschool children tend to move on to nearby schools, including Spring Meadow, St John’s Primary School, and Isle of Ely Primary School.
Fees, Funding & Government Support
We offer funded early education places in line with current government guidance, including 15 and 30 hours funding for eligible families.
Funded hours are applied to session fees only. We do not charge any additional fees or compulsory extras on funded sessions.
All meals and snacks are included as part of the session, meaning there are no additional charges for food.

Jemma has been part of Clarence House Nurseries since 2016 and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her role, having previously managed several other settings within the group. With over 30 years of dedication to early years education, she is a passionate advocate for high-quality nursery care.
Jemma is committed to creating welcoming, home-from-home environments where children feel safe, secure and inspired to learn. She follows a curiosity-led approach, offering a rich and engaging curriculum that encourages exploration and discovery. With a deep love of literacy, she enjoys weaving books, storytelling and singing into daily routines to support and enhance children’s language development.
Outside of nursery life, Jemma loves reading, visiting the beach and spending time with her family and friends.
