Quality Childcare at Affordable Prices in Godmanchester

Clarence House Godmanchester is a homely nursery with a community feel in Godmanchester.

Located on The Causeway in a beautiful 17th century converted building our homely nursery is perfectly positioned for the local area and surrounding neighbourhoods. Though many of our parents choose us for our lovely warm, community feel we do attract a number of commuting parents – largely down to our close proximity to the A14.

Our expert and dedicated team cares for children aged 12 weeks up to the age of 3-3.5 (after which children progress to our dedicated preschool), in rooms specifically designed to provide tailored, age and stage-appropriate activities and experiences

Things we love about our nursery

  • Converted 17th century building
  • Homely feel and relatively small nursery
  • Friendly and dedicated team of staff
  • Garden with all-weather play surface
  • Outdoor educational equipment
  • Well-placed for A14
  • Parking for easy drop-off and pick-up

Homely and Friendly Environment

The team at Clarence House Godmanchester prides itself on delivering a friendly and homely environment for our babies, toddlers and ‘little risers’ – helping children to settle quickly and parents to relax.

Here at Clarence House Godmanchester we are particularly proud of our lovely baby area with its timber beamed rooms giving it a very homely feel. Our garden with its all-weather play surface filled with educational activities ensures that children can be outside in all weathers. We also have a vegetable patch where the children can grow their own vegetables, a mud kitchen – always a favourite with all the children and a ‘bug hotel’ where all the local insects check in.

Additional Activities

We include as standard Yoga Dance, Monkeynastix, Cook With Me, Green Fingers, Science is Fun and Ready4School.

Local Schools

After attending our separate preschool, children tend to move on to nearby schools including St Anne’s C of E Primary School, Godmanchester Community Academy and Godmanchester Bridge Academy

Manager: Abigail Beba

Abigail joined Clarence House in June 2023 as Nursery Manager and has always worked in the Early Years. She has been a practitioner, room leader, deputy and a manager, so has a great understanding of all the different roles and how to best support the team. Abigail’s vision is that children have a happy, safe and secure environment for their early years education. The best part of her job is being a part of the first 5 years of their life and watching them grow and develop their own minds and personalities.

Abigail enjoys shopping, film and loves to go on holidays.
