Outdoor Learning in All Weathers

Children have access to outdoor play throughout the day, in all weathers. Our large and secure gardens include a climbing frame, construction shed, planting area, and a covered mud kitchen and sandpit—allowing children to explore and learn outside, whatever the season.

Child-Led and Curiosity-Inspired Learning

We follow a child-led approach inspired by the Curiosity Approach, encouraging exploration, independence, and discovery. Our experienced team follows each child’s interests, building their confidence and nurturing a lifelong love of learning.

We support smooth transitions with an individualised approach, including welcome visits and transition meetings when children move between rooms.

Caring for the Whole Child

We provide nutritious, home-cooked meals and healthy snacks each day, with generous portions and no hidden charges. Our day begins early at 7:00 am to support working families, and we offer flexible sessions to suit your needs. Wipes and Sudocrem are included for all children.

We follow the Lullaby Trust’s safer sleep guidelines and work with parents to follow each child’s own sleep routine, allowing them to rest naturally.

Supporting School Readiness

In our preschool room, we help children build the skills they need for a smooth start to school. From dressing, toileting, and hand washing to early reading, writing, and number recognition, we foster independence, confidence, and kindness.

Strong Parent Partnerships

We use the Tapestry app to keep you fully involved in your child’s learning journey. You’ll receive regular updates, photos, observations, and care logs (meals, nappies, sleep), plus messaging to stay in touch with your child’s key person. We also connect with families through open days, social media, and newsletters.

Help with Fees & Grant Sessions

We offer 15 hours government funded grant sessions for all the children over 3 years old and eligible children from 9 month old. We also offer extended sessions of 30 hours a week for eligible children over 3 years old. Please note that government provides funding for 38 weeks a year only.

At Clarence  House Sleaford we offer grant sessions stretched over the whole year. Your child can attend Grant sessions only.
